Hood’s Market Donates $12,165 to BCS in 2025 and Celebrates 25 Years of Community Commitment

Morgantown, KY — June 13, 2025
This summer, Butler County Schools is celebrating a quiet but powerful partnership that has made a lasting impact on our students and schools — and it all starts at the gas pump.
Hood’s Market, a locally owned business that just marked its 25th anniversary, donated $12,165 this school year through a simple but meaningful initiative: a dedicated school pump. Every time customers choose to fuel up at this pump, a portion of each sale goes directly to Butler County Schools, helping fund important student safety upgrades across our campuses.
“It’s partnerships like this that make our community feel close,” said Superintendent Robert Tuck. “Hood’s isn’t just a business. They’ve been quietly investing in our kids’ well-being year after year, and we are grateful for their continued commitment.”
This collaboration reflects the very qualities we strive to nurture in our students through our Portrait of a Learner — character, collaboration, and citizenship. Hood’s Market sets an example of what it means to work side by side with our schools to ensure students feel safe, seen, and supported.
We’re proud to feature Hood’s Market in our new Community Story Spotlight series which is a space where we’ll highlight the partnerships and people who help make Butler County Schools stronger. These are the stories where real-world learning, community connection, and student growth come together.
