I want to officially welcome everyone to the 2019-2020 school year! I hope you are enjoying your summer and have exciting adventures to share with us. Over the summer, the faculty and staff of Butler County Middle School have been working hard to prepare the building for the first day of school.
I am privileged to have the opportunity to continue serving in the role of the Butler County Middle School Principal. I am eager to meet the incoming 6th grade students. This year we will conduct open house a little different. We are holding two open house events to include a student orientation that will hopefully answer everyone’s questions about Butler County Middle School . The 7th and 8th grade open house will be on Wednesday, July 31st from 5:00 PM-6:30 PM. The 6th grade open house will be held on Thursday, August 1st from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM. On this evening, all incoming 6th grade parents and students are encouraged to attend. Doors will open for seating at 4:40 PM. If you are unable to attend, we will be posting the information shared during the orientation on Facebook Live on our school page (BCMS News). Student schedules will be available at both open house events. Please remember all incoming 6th graders are required to have their immunizations and physicals before the first day of school. These forms can be turned in during the orientation if you have them completed.
It is an honor to work with our highly qualified and dedicated staff, our wonderful students, supportive families, and amazing community. As you know, the middle school years are such a critical time in the social, mental, and physical development of students. I look forward to working with each of you to make this school year a success. Finally, BCMS wants to thank our custodial crew who have been working diligently to prepare our building for the start of the new school year. We also want to thank our school board for their continued support in helping to create a great environment for learning and developing future leaders.
Enjoy the remaining days of summer! Butler County Middle School looks forward to seeing all of the new and familiar faces as we return to school on Wednesday, August 7th, 2019.
Mr. Tim Freeman
