BCMS Middle Years Newsletter

BCMS is happy to provide this new resource for parents and students. Middle grade children go through dramatic changes and desperately need their parents’ support. Many parents want to help, but aren’t sure what to do. With Middle Years, we can give parents the help they need.  Every issue offers practical ideas to:

  • Improve school success.
  • Strengthen the home and school partnership.
  • Enhance parenting skills.
  • Strengthen family life.
  • Understand middle graders’ behavior.
  • Build positive character traits.

Awards Day

On Tuesday, May 12th and Wednesday, May 13th 2015 Butler County Middle School will present awards to students who took the spring 2014 KPREP test at B.C.M.S.  All students who received a Proficient or Distinguished in any subject will receive awards. Tuesday, May 12th  The awards ceremony for the current 9th graders will begin at 5:30. p.mWednesday, May 13th The awards ceremony for the current 8th graders will begin at 8:00 a.m. The awards ceremony for the current 7th graders will begin at 9:00 a.m.

The lists of students receiving awards will be posted in the front lobby of the school and in the 7th and 8th grade hallways by May 1st. Students should check in these locations to see if they will be receiving awards. Invitations will be mailed to the 9th graders who will be receiving awards.

The awards ceremonies will be held in the gym at Butler County Middle School. Family and friends are invited to join us for these celebrations.

*6th grade students will receive awards from Morgantown Elementary and North Butler Elementary.
