Please see Mr. Gruber to see if you have earned an exemption card. Some students will have more than one card. Here’s how you qualify for an exemption card:
1. Freshmen who scored proficient or distinguished on the on-demand portion of the K-PREP Writing test taken in the 8th grade will receive one exemption their freshmen year and/or any freshmen who scored an 18 or higher on the explore test will receive one exemption.
2. When a sophomore takes the PLAN test and scores a 20 or higher then he/she will be able to choose one class to be exempt from during his/her junior or sophomore year.
3. When a student takes an End of Course State Assessment in English II, Algebra II, Biology or US History and scores at or above benchmark (set by the state), then he/she will be able to choose one class to be exempt from during his/her junior or senior year.
4. When a junior takes the K-PREP on demand Writing test and scores proficient or distinguished, then he/she will be able to choose one final to be exempt from during his/her senior year.
*Exemption cards cannot be used to exempt a student from any state mandated end of course exam!
