Local Scholarships

There are several local scholarships available in the Guidance Office. Any senior interested in applying for scholarships, please come by the guidance office to pick up an application.

March Madness Yearbook Winner

Congratulations to Luke Mooneyhan for winning the March Madness Yearbook drawing for a free yearbook. Don't forget to be able to go to the signing party on May 21st, you must have purchased a yearbook prior to the party. Quantities are going quickly - we have 60 left and over 300 students without a yearbook. Also new this year is the free online version of the yearbook with each purchase.

WRECC Frankfort Youth Tour

Congratulations to Sabrina Camus, she was selected to represent Butler County at the WRECC Frankfort Youth Tour. Sabrina was then chosen for for the WRECC Washingon DC Youth Tour this summer!

Blood Drive

The Spring Blood Drive will be held on Friday, May 1. Please see Mrs. Murphy in Room 9 to sign up for donation time.

Science Club Tumblers

Science Club is selling tumblers (similar to Tervis) as our fundraiser this year.  SEE ATTACHED. We are looking to take the students to the Huntsville Space Center in May. If you're interested please see a science club member or you can send the order to me. Payment is due before we order.  Sales end next Friday.  Thanks in advance!!

Governor Scholars

The following BCHS Juniors have been selected for the 2015 Kentucky Governor’s Scholars Program: Isaiah Arnold, Jarred Corona, Emma Robbins and Madison Wells. Congratulations to these students.

Project Prom

Butler County High School Project Prom 2015 will be after Prom on Sat April 25, 2015 this year.  Beginning at 11:30PM we will need for volunteers to tear down prom decorations and get ready for an early morning of fun and games for BCHS Juniors and Seniors and their guests.  Only BCHS Juniors and Seniors will be awarded prizes, but all guests are welcome to enjoy the festivities.   Project Prom is a drug/alcohol free event for the students of Butler County High School.


Any parent who wants to help the night of Project prom (April 25) needs to contact Mrs. Kimberlea Embry as soon as possible. You can email her at Kimberlea.embry@butler.kyschools.us

Robert Myles Cunningham Memorial Scholarship

May 1, 2015 Robert Myles Cunningham Memorial Scholarship. Students can pick up an application in the guidance office for the scholarship.

Ford AAA Competition

Mr. Collins and two of his students have qualified for the state finals of the Ford AAA competition again this year. The contest will be held at the Ford truck plant in Louisville KY on May 12-13. This will be an overnight trip. Justin Barks and Caleb Renfrow are the qualifying students. If you see them tell them congratulations. They qualified among the top ten in the state, among all participating high school automotive programs, by taking an online test.

UK Freshman Summer Program

Any senior who will be attending UK in the fall, and would like to sign up for the freshmen summer program, come to the guidance office.
