M.A. High School Counseling - Western Kentucky University
B.A. English and Allied Language Arts - Western Kentucky University

After teaching for six years at the Ohio County Alternative Learning Program and four years at the Green River Youth Development Center, I began teaching at Butler County High School in 2009. Since then, I have had the pleasure of teaching freshman and sophomore English and getting to know a truly fantastic group of adolescents. This year I am teaching sophomore English and sponsoring P.R.I.D.E. (Parental Resources in Drug Education) and F.O.R. (Friends of Rachel).

My husband, Darrell, and I have been married for twenty-four years and have three amazing children--Virginia is thirteen; Victoria is eleven and Clayton is eight. We also have a Shih Tzu named Rascall.

I grew up in South Holland, Illinois, but was determined to live in Kentucky upon first visiting this beautiful state as an eight-year-old child.  In my spare time, I enjoy swimming, walking, reading, and writing.
